Triathlon - Raced all distances of triathlons throughout the past 10 years - first half Ironman was in Muncie, IN second in the Louisville Ironman and qualified for the World Championships in Kona, HI.
Lessons - I started doing sprint triathlons for fun and enjoyed training all three disciplines. I had to work hard to learn a lot about biking in my early years. My first half Ironman was in Muncie, IN and it was a challenge, but I was glad I did it! After my collegiate swimming career, I still had a competitive bug. I signed up for an Ironman with a friend to help each other in the journey. It started my more "serious" racing in triathlons. After my finish in Louisville, I went into strict training and enjoyed the journey to Hawaii! The race was incredibly challenging, but amazing at the same time!
